The University's alcohol policy is consistent with Pennsylvania Law and applies to all students who attend Penn State. The policy states:
- Students must be 21 or older to drink or possess alcohol.
- Regardless of age, students cannot buy alcohol for, or give alcohol to, anyone who is under 21.
- Any student who excessively drinks alcohol, causing a negative impact to themselves or others, may be subject to student conduct action, even if they are over the age of 21.
- Students cannot drink or use drugs and then operate a vehicle. This includes riding a bike or an electric scooter.
- If a student has a violation off campus, the University may apply its own sanctions and hold the student accountable as well.
